The Grundfos MQ is a compact all-in-one pressure boosting unit, designed for domestic water supply and other boosting or lift applications. The MQ is compact and reliable, easy to install with many desirable standard features.
The MQ is a self priming multistage centrifugal pump. It self primes from a well depth of down to 25 feet with a maximum time of 5 minutes. The MQ pump is also ideal for pressure boosting from water storage tanks or from city water supply sources to a maximum of 45 psi inlet pressure.
The MQ pump is built for long life, trouble-free operation. It is made from weather proof, corrosion resistant materials and can be placed outdoors with minimum cover.

EASY TO SELECT
NWfiltration makes it easy to select the correct Grundfos MQ pump. The MQ3 Series Pump is available in two voltages, 115v and 230, and two horsepower variations, 3/4 and 1 Horsepower. There is no need to worry about a seperate pressure tank, pressure switch, electrical connections, fittings or any other seperate items. Using simple plumbing techniques, installation is a simple matter of connecting the pump, the power, testing the system, and you are ready to go. A normal installation is approximately one hour.
The pump installs in minimum amount of space, the discharge connection is flexible with a 5 degree amount of movement to allow for slight variations in pipe angle.
EASY TO OPERATE
Operating the MQ pump is simple and easy. The actual settings are clearly indicated by light emitting diodes on the user friendly control panel. Reading settings in low light situations like under counters or in darken well/pump house are a snap.
The MQ pump has a small built in pressure tank to ensure that water is readily available from the tap. When water is demanded, the pump automatically starts and no loss of pressure will be felt. The pump also has a built in check valve to prevent reverse water flow.
UNIQUE USER BENEFITS
"Whisper quiet operation", the MQ is specifically designed to be used inside your home where excessive noise would be a problem. The pump is is cooled by the pumped water which eliminates the need for a noisy cooling fan. Becuase of internal self cooling, the pump can be installed in a confined, enclosed space.
PROTECTIVE FEATURES
The MQ has built in dry run protection. If the pump runs dry, the pump automatically stops. It will then attempt to restart every half hour for a maximum 24 hours until water is available from the source. If the water source is not present for more than 24 hours, a manual restart is requried. The auto restart feature can be disabled if needed.
The MQ pump also has built in thermal protection. If the pump overheats it immediately stops. After a 30 minute cooling down period, the pump will automatically restart. The MQ has an easy accesible priming plug for filling the pump with water before start. It also has a drain plug to prevent the pump from freezing.
The MQ pump has become very popular with "catchment water" users in Hawaii. The pump is highly reliable and functional in this useage. Hawaii Customers need plan to add approximately $40.00 (USPS, Priority Mail) in funds to cover the extra shipping costs to the islands.
